Sarebi is a Not-for-Profit Organisation focussed on direct business interventions that make a measurable difference to SMME’s. We leverage grant funding to heavily subsidise the cost of this service, providing equitable access to hands-on, practical support and tools.
The recent developments around the COVID-19 pandemic have necessitated a shift to online services and we are now offering our full Capacity Development Workshop Series via a Google Classroom platform.
Our Capacity Development Workshop Series is focused on pre-revenue or aspirant entrepreneurs and consists of three modules presented online in a small group, peer-learning workshop format.
The program has been designed to allow participants to develop their business model with a specific focus on the Value Proposition, Business Case and Business Model. A lot of focus is placed on the importance of scalable dynamic business models instead of developing stodgy business plans for the purpose of funding. It is our experience that one of the major contributors to early-stage business failure is poorly conceived business ideas with little long term sustainability. The full workshop series has 3 modules, which run sequentially and each module has 6 sessions lead by an experienced business mentor. Participants are expected to dedicate time to thoroughly complete all assignments and each module culminates in a final Pitching Session, the gateway to the next module in the series.
Module 1: Solve-My-Problem: 5 peer learning sessions +1 pitching session
Module 2: Product-Market-Fit: 5 peer learning sessions +1 pitching session
Module 3: 1-2-3- Trade: 5 peer learning sessions +1 pitching session
Thanks to our generous donors, the cost of the Capacity Development Workshop Series is subsidised and requires a minor commitment fee from each applicant, paid in full before the series commences.
